Soft Maple is 25% softer than Canadian Hard Maple. The hardness of Soft Maple is equivalent to that of Oak wood, but its elasticity is much higher. Soft Maple tree mainly grows in North Asia to South China.
In the market, Soft Maple lumber is 30% cheaper than Hard Maple lumber. Products made of Soft Maple wood also have a more elegant and striking yellow color than those made of Hard Maple wood.
