Chantal Lescure 'Les Vignots' Pommard 2021The Pommard "Les Vignots" is from south facing vines situated on the Montagne de Pommard, in a terroir of clay marl. These 35 year old vines grow in high elevation, about 330 meters above sea level. (The name stems from a parcel of vines remaining on this site that survived a desvastating insect attack that destroyed much of the Burgundy vineyard in the 1700s) The grapes are hand harvested and undergo a long fermentation in stainless steel tanks,
