With his well tailored outfit and perfectly coiffured moustache, he carries the air of a distinguished country gentleman. On his left, theres a green hat that looks similar to a mariners cap perhaps a clue as to his profession or interests. The portrait is housed within a swept giltwood

He’s wearing a fancy white cravat under a dark coat according to the fashion of the 1820s
