Cerussite (rare locality specimen)PLEASE NOTE: This specimen comes with an old dealer label that states its from the Tucson Mine on Iron Hill in Leadville, but I strongly believe its actually from the Ibex Mine on Breece Hill. This is a rarely seen example of the classic "jackstraw" Cerussite specimens from Leadville. These are not common on the market, but Ive seen a handful of them over the years. This specimen features sharp, white, lustrous, thin prismatic crystals of Cerussite

This piece is a wonderful specimen of this highly sought after material featuring a beautiful baby pink color group of "rosette"-shaped Rhodochrosite rhombs which are flaring out of the colorless/white

I have never seen anything quite like this from any mine in Bolivia

and it is one of the best crystalline Bolivian Silvers that I have handled in recent months

especially in cabinet sized specimens

In reflected light

The most desirable combination / association from this area is to find Brookite on Quartz

I have only seen a handful of these specimens on the market

Keep in mind that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems

Monazite is usually found in granitic pegmatites

Linarite is a well-known lead copper sulfate
