HL Leonard Model 39 Bamboo Rod 7'6" 2/2 #5For sale here is a HL Leonard Model 39 bamboo rod 7 1 2 feet, 2 2 for a 5wt line. Excellent plus condition. Serial #1491 from the early 1970s. All sections are full length and straight. Cigar grip, all cork reel seat with pocketed cap and ring. Red silk wraps with green edging at the keeper and ferrules. Includes original yellow bag with wooden stiffener and original aluminum tube with brass fittings. The rod weighs 3 3 8 oz. Ferrule size is 12 64.

The nickel silver rims and crank have a nice patina to them (could be polished out if one desires) and the spool shows a very slight bit of pitting

There is a fine scratch in the varnish over the script

All of the approximately 70 flies are in excellent condition and appear to be un-fished
