Slater, David - Army & Navy Brass Winch 2 1/4"For sale here is a finely preserved Birmingham style reel made most likely by David Slater for the Army & Navy Cooperative Society in England. 2 1 4" diameter. It comes with an old silk line in excellent condition as well. The reel still functions perfectly and most of the bronzing lacquer still remains on the reel. A superb addition to anyone's collection!

Medium-fast to fast but with a nice full flexing action
so this wood could have been sourced from the Payne shop
and n/s cap and ring reel seat

This reel appears to be the model 2 salmon
Complete with an Orvis zippered leather/canvas case
Gorgeous dark burled walnut grip and reel seat
The rod is 6 1/2 feet long and is intended for a DT5 or 6 weight line
