SOLD……….A pair of Georgian silver handled scissors. c1830A small pair of silver handled scissors embossed with foliage and a matching silver sheath with flowers and foliage. The silver has no hall marks as is quite usual for small pieces of light weight silver of this period but the style dates them to c1820 c1830. 9cm long with the sheath on. Finger ring span slightly over 4cm In excellent condition. Stock no. LJ15 NB. Stock numbers LJ15 LJ22 all came from the same fitted workbox.
The lettering is in black and red and is clearly defined

No damage to the pearl and all the little loop fastenings are there
5 cm at the front

It is also quite unusual to find the original block of scent still inside
A Tartan Ware stamp box decorated with the Prince Charlie pattern and with an applied 'Penny Red' facsimile stamp in the middle
A thickly carved mother of pearl stiletto made in two parts
probably Dutch
Each disc has 4 holes in it to attach it to the cloak and a little elaborately decorated gilt metal hook
A pair of black stone bachelor buttons / studs stamped West & Co Patent and cut with a compass and set square indicating freemasonry
a harp for Dublin and the maker's initials GT
